I am currently working on comments on an article written by Marjaana Lindeman and Kia Aarnio who argue that superstition is to be understood in terms of category mistakes in the intuitive world-view that children arrive at early on and which adults retain. Lindeman’s work has been previously recommended to me and her group’s site (which I am adding to my links) has links to a number of interesting articles. Their thinking seems to be moving along similar lines to the ideas I have been working on but I have some worries about their theoretical foundations. But then that’s just what a philosopher would say.
